THE BRIEF:
Ben approached us to develop a striking yet simple brand identity—one that would project professionalism and approachability without overshadowing his powerful photography.
THE APPROACH:
The new identity for Ben Bergh Photography captures the precision, energy, and professionalism synonymous with high-end commercial photography. Drawing inspiration from the essence of the craft—the camera lens—the logo features a refined circular form symbolising both focus and motion. Subtle line detailing references the focus grip of a lens, adding texture, depth, and a sense of technical mastery.
The wordmark complements this with a rounded typographic structure, creating a cohesive visual balance between artistry and technical control. A signature line element is used as both a divider and a directional accent, reinforcing structure and consistency across all brand applications.
The colour palette is derived from the tonal interplay of professional studio lighting—cool greys, soft highlights, and deep shadows—reflecting the dramatic contrast that defines exceptional photography. The overall result is a refined, contemporary identity that feels premium, confident, and dynamic—perfectly mirroring Ben Bergh’s creative precision behind the lens.
